Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-22
These terms govern your use of Password2QR: the website at password2qr.com, the installable web app at app.password2qr.com, and the Password2QR desktop app, operated by Norionsoft (“we”). By using any of them you accept these terms.
What Password2QR is
Password2QR is a tool that creates, checks and restores passwords on your own device. It is not a password manager service: we keep no accounts, store no passwords for you, and cannot reset or recover anything on your behalf.
Your responsibilities
- Remember your inputs. Your phrase, any saved settings and any second part (such as a PIN) exist only with you. If you lose them, no one — including us — can recover the password.
- Keep your own backups. Exported files, QR images and printed cards are your copies. Store them where you can find them and where others cannot.
- Set passwords at the website that uses them. Creating a password here does not update any account. Verify a restored password before you rely on it.
- Verify what you install. Check the installer checksum published with each desktop release before running it, and keep your devices and browsers updated.
Acceptable use
Use Password2QR only for lawful purposes and only to manage credentials you are authorized to use. Do not interfere with the service, probe or attack it outside coordinated disclosure, or misrepresent exported material as something we issued.
Card orders
Printed plastic cards are produced and sold by the W2QR Card Service on its own site, under its own terms, prices and delivery conditions. Only partial-password cards can be ordered; the order screen shows exactly what is sent before you confirm.
Software and license
The hosted website and apps are provided for your use as described on their pages. The Password2QR source is prepared for public release under the Apache-2.0 license; published packages carry their own license files.
No warranty
Password2QR is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. No security tool removes all risk; the About page states the current review status honestly, and we make no claim beyond it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for access lost because a phrase, setting or second part was forgotten, for lost or stolen cards and exported copies, or for third-party services such as the card service, payment providers or your hosting of exported files.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves; the date above states the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
